The Scholars’ Institute
When you enquire, we hold only what you send us. typically a name and an email address. Where a pupil is nominated, we hold the details a nominating school or a parent chooses to provide about that pupil, for the purpose of considering their admission.
We use this information solely to respond to you and to administer nominations and admissions. Our lawful basis is your consent and our legitimate interest in operating the Institute. We do not sell data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Information concerning a child is provided by a parent, guardian, or nominating school, and is handled with particular care and only for the purpose of admission and the pupil’s participation. It is never shared beyond what is necessary to deliver the programme.
We keep information only as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was given, and then delete it.
You may ask us at any time what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Simply write to us. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
